When you meet Ulyana and Chris, it's immediately apparent how important their families are to them. I was introduced to Ulyana through her brother, Yehven, and sister-in-law, Amy, who I met through my church community. I knew a little about her family's heritage 

The moss dangled low on the oak trees, falling all the way to the white sand road. The breeze was slight, just enough to make the branches sway and allow the light to sparkle over the spiral of chairs assembled on Dunham Farms. 

When I met Noosha and Brian at their Duxbury home, I was greeted with three things:

1) Their labradoodle, Dunkin'
2) Coffee with just almond milk, just the way I like it
3) Pumpkin cake, with whipped cream and candied pecans

There's an underrated beauty to foggy mornings, especially at the beach. Sure, everyone wishes for a sunny beach day, but there's something quiet about fog that makes normal places feel like a world of their own. 

I love taking photographs in the rain. Maybe because rain is my favorite weather, maybe because rainy days are quieter, and maybe it's because less people are out in the city. But whatever my reason is, I'm glad Melissa and Robert were up to explore Boston's seaport district throughout the scattered showers!

The heat of the Indian Summer made the air thick, as warm as the colors of the changing leaves. I could hear laughing in the distance, families picnicking and kids chasing after each other. Music played off an iPhone speaker. But in front of me were Erica and Caleb, sharing their intimate first dance...

When I met Janelle and Julian, I felt like we already knew each other. We met on the campus of URI where they met, grabbing coffee and talking wedding planning as if I had been a part of the process all along.

Joanne and Desmond grew up together in Boston, and while they have since settled in the Bay Area of Northern California, wanted to take engagement photos in the city they met and where their families still live. 

The first thing Tieg said to me was that Sam's dress was Dorne-inspired, and that she could have been a sand snake. It was with this one Game of Thrones reference that Sam and Tieg won me over. We spent the evening exploring the smaller coves of Carson Beach, discovering hoards of sea glass (insert dragonglass joke here), getting to know each other, and of course, taking photos...
