Kiet and Wanda's Cape Kiwanda Engagement Session | Oregon Wedding Photographer

Kiet and Wanda booked me for their east coast wedding before I announced that i was moving to Oregon. But when they heard about my move, they actually asked if they could join me out here for an Oregon engagement session instead of staying on the east coast!! OBVIOUSLY I was pumped to show them around the state that stole my heart.

We narrowed down our options to the coast, and knew it was fate when we looked at Cape Kiwanda (Kiet+ Wanda = Cape Kiwanda). I stayed at Hart’s Camp in an airstream across the street, and met them at Pelican Brewing beforehand, which I would recommend to anyone looking for a Pacific Northwest weekend getaway. The wind, clouds, and coast make for the perfect moody but bright vibe.

Wanda had her makeup done by Northwest Makeup + Hair and I was totally obsessed with her braids and natural dewy look. From there we drove on the beach (because it’s legal and I had my rental jeep) and then set out to take photos. If you ever have the chance to drive on one of the beaches in Oregon, DO IT. It’s so surreal and makes you feel like a kid again.

We ran around the coast line, explored some of the nearby caves, and ran around on the dunes. When you shoot with me, it’s basically a work out. Luckily both Wanda and Kiet are crossfit people and definitely more fit than I am.

These two are playful and fun, and we had the BEST time exploring somewhere new together. I’ll always remember running around on the tall dunes together and watching them tackle each other and just having a blast like we were kids again. I loved showing them around my new favorite spot on the oregon coast and can’t wait for their wedding next year!
