Brianna + Calvin’s Salmon River Engagement Session

Covid postponed a lot of plans, but it also brought me couples that I had the joy of getting to know more long term! Brianna and Calvin booked me in 2019 for their 2020 wedding. We all know what that means. Yup – a wedding postponed to 2021. What a blessing in disguise because over the course of the year, I was lucky enough to bond with these two New England natives, just like me! As if the year hadn’t brought enough twists and turns, their first snowy engagement session left us all stuck in hours of mountain traffic. Leading us to their Salmon River engagement session (part 2)!

Brianna + Calvin’s Salmon River engagement session

We found all the lush and green forest vibes at one of my favorite spots on Mt. Hood. The Salmon River trail is right down the road from my house and is one I’ve gotten to know really well. It has everything to love about the green PNW-ness. Mossy trees, lots of ferns, rivers and rocks, all of it! And we soaked up every last bit of it’s goodness together, roaming the river, trekking through the water and seeking the light.

As they say, timing is everything and Brianna and Calvin’s session is no different. We knew to head out in the morning to catch the sun cresting over the mountains and into the valley to capitalize on some of the BEST light. There was one particularly epic moment when the sun broke through the trees and illuminated them in the forest creating pure golden magic, lighting them up as brightly as their smiles! It’s the moments like these, of capturing those pristine moments in time, with couples like Brianna and Calvin that make this work oh so fulfilling! Being a part of the journey, adventure and story that will last a lifetime – it’s an honor each and every time!

Enjoy these two and their darling love!
