Regan and Ryanโ€™s Summertime Vineyard Engagement Session in the Gorge

Regan and Ryan's summer engagement session at Garnier Vineyards in Mosier, Oregon, was full of PNW charm! As an Oregon-based wedding photographer, I was thrilled to capture their love story amidst the picturesque vineyards and rolling hills in one of my favorite areasโ€”the Columbia River Gorge.

From the outset, it was evident that Regan and Ryan shared an undeniable connection. Their laughter was contagious as we discussed their vision for the shoot โ€“ they wanted natural, candid feeling photos that showcased both their love for each other and the beauty of the Oregon landscape.

Mosier proved to be the perfect backdrop for our session. The warm summer sun filled the vineyards in a golden glow early in the afternoon, so I knew we were in for a good sunset. Regan and Ryan looked effortlessly stylish as they explored the vineyard, wearing light colored layers that didnโ€™t feel too hot in the sun. I canโ€™t emphasize enough how important it is to feel comfortable in your engagement session outfits!

One of the highlights of the shoot was at the very end when we stumbled upon a picturesque spot overlooking the Columbia River. The sun had already set, but we had a perfect blue hour with lots of misty light to capture a few more moments before it got completely dark.

In addition to digital photography, I also brought along my trusty 35mm film camera and a pack of Polaroid film. There's something truly magical about shooting on film โ€“ the tactile experience of loading the film, the anticipation of waiting for the images to develop, and the unique aesthetic that film provides. Regan and Ryan were excited to incorporate film into their session, and the results were stunning. The soft, dreamy quality of the film images added an extra layer of romance to their engagement photos, capturing nostalgia in the way only film can.

I am so excited for their Skamania wedding this September, and canโ€™t wait to see what life has in store next for these two!
