Romantic Proposal on the Oregon Coast

Okay, get ready for all the feels with Sarah and Julian’s dreamy Oregon Coast proposal! These two celebrated the start of their forever at the gorgeous Our Plaace AirBnb in Neskowin, Oregon, surrounded by ocean views, the salty breeze, and of course, their adorable dog. It was truly a picture-perfect moment for this milestone. I was lucky enough to visit Our Plaace for Kelsey and Andy’s wedding in the early summer, so I was familiar with the area and was able to plan with Julian exactly where they should be standing, making sure they didn’t see me at first.

When Julian told me he wanted the proposal to be documented with film and digital, I was all in. We brought out all the stops with film, Polaroids, Super 8 film, and digital cameras, giving this session a mix of vintage vibes and modern feels. The timeless touch of analog film combined with some dreamy Super 8 footage gave the whole day that romantic, nostalgic feel that made it feel like a scene from a classic movie. I love that they’ll be able to look back on these moments forever.

After Julian popped the question (cue the happy tears!), Sarah presented him with his own ring, and then we all celebrated on the deck with cake, champagne, and lots of laughter. Their sweet pup was totally loving the excitement too, snuggling up for photos and just being the cutest sidekick ever. We snapped some candid Polaroids of them laughing, toasting, and soaking up this unforgettable moment, and each image feels like a little piece of the joy they shared that day.

Some of my favorite film frames from this proposal:

The Oregon Coast was the perfect backdrop for this love story—soft waves, dreamy mist, and a whole lot of love. Congratulations, Sarah and Julian! This was definitely a day for the books, and I’m so grateful to have been a part of it! Cheers to you both!
