The Best Wedding Venues in Oregon

Finding the perfect place to get married can be a journey and you may not know exactly where to start! Lucky for you, I have had my fair share of experience at LOTS of venues in Oregon and have really nailed down some of my favorites. There are so many types of locations you can choose for your Oregon wedding venue from a formal oasis to the great outdoors!

The first step to deciding your perfect venue is figuring out where you want to have the big day. Are you looking to tie the knot right in the city of Portland? Or are you more attracted to the wine country? Maybe you want to adventure out into nature and explore a private and picturesque spot up in the mountains. I’ve put together a list of my favorite venues in all of these various locations so hopefully, this will help you begin to narrow things down!

Oregon Wedding Venues Along The Columbia River Gorge

First up we have The Gorge. With so many scenic views along The Columbia River Gorge you’ll find some incredible spots to say “I do”. My top three would have to be Bridal Veil Lakes, The Griffin House, and Government Cove! Now… let me tell you a little bit about each.

Bridal Veil Lakes

Located just thirty minutes from Portland, you’ll find Bridal Veil Lakes — a beautiful escape perfect for your big day. They have two covered areas that you can use for your reception and even include chairs, restrooms, an arch, canoes, and more! This venue is secluded and romantic as it is surrounded by gorgeous forests creating the perfect atmosphere for your day.

The Griffin House

Another beautiful location located along the river is The Griffin House. They offer multiple event services but weddings are super popular here! Not only do they have a long list of decor and rental items available to use the day of your wedding (string lights, tables, lawn games, A/V equipment, and more) but they can also handle the management and coordination of your wedding! This is a great feature because it allows you to take some of the stress of wedding planning off of your shoulders so you can enjoy the day.

Government Cove

Have you ever wanted to enjoy your own private island? Well, now you can! At least… for the duration of your wedding. Enjoy the privacy of Government Cove as you and your partner say “I Do” along the gorgeous cliff sides that overlook the Gorge. This is one of my favorite locations along The Gorge for my couples who are choosing an intimate elopement instead of a large wedding reception!

Best Wedding Venues in Portland

If you want to be where all the action is, then a venue located right in Portland may be perfect for you! Now, Portland has a LOT of options, so narrowing down my favorites wasn’t easy but let’s get into them! On the lineup of the best venues in Portland we’ve got: The Redwood Deck - Hoyt Arboretum, Oaks Pioneer Church, The Evergreen, and Abernethy Center.

Coopers Hall

Coopers Hall is a stunning winery and taproom with multiple event venues to choose from! Whether you want an intimate setting or a place to party with all of your favorite people they’ve got the space for you! There is SO much to love about this Oregon wedding venue, including an incredible farm-to-fable menu and wine services!

The Redwood Deck -Hoyt Arboretum

Talk about gorgeous! The Redwood Deck at Hoyt Arboretum is a stunning location for a small ceremony or intimate elopement. The deck is made of natural wood and even has a breathtaking sequoia tree right in the center of the deck! Talk about the perfect location for a wedding. The tall trees make this space incredibly intimate, romantic, and dramatic.

Oaks Pioneer Church

This charming old church is as sweet as can be and a stunning location for ceremonies. One of my favorite Oregon wedding venues! On the outside, Oaks Pioneer Church is simple with white paneling and large beautiful windows, then you step inside and WOW are you greeted with beauty! Stunning oak wood covers the walls of the church and a gorgeous trio of stained glass windows acts as the perfect ceremony altar. You’ll be so happy with the beautiful wedding photos captured here!

The Evergreen

Planning a big wedding? The Evergreen may be just the space for you! This venue is perfect for large parties, and they have the ability to make your wedding dreams come true! The Evergreen has you covered with everything from sound, lighting, and catering to the ability to host large parties. They’ve even got an amazing team of planners on-site to help you create your dream day.

Abernethy Center

Abernethy Center has it ALL. If you’re looking for a day-of coordinator, partial planning assistance, or someone to handle the entirety of your wedding day they are sure to have a package for you! In addition to outstanding services, they have amazing venue amenities including but not limited to on-site parking, restrooms, wedding suites, and more!

Best Wedding Venues in Wine Country

Ah, wine country, the beauty of vineyards, and the delicious wine that comes with it! I just adore weddings out in wine country. My favorite locations by far have to be Domaine Roy et Fils, Zenith Vineyards, Villa Catalana, and Domino IV.

Domaine Roy et Fils

Amazing views, the perfect backdrop, what a location! With the ability to host up to 75 guests, Domaine Roy et Fils is a beautiful location for a mid-sized wedding. Rental of the venue includes access to their tasting room, patio, and olive grove, allowing you multiple locations for a ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner reception!

This venue has tons of space for you and your guests and gives you access as early as 9:00 am! Zenith has several in-house caterers to choose from and a 120-foot long patio overlooking their amazing vineyard. This is Oregon wedding venue is a spectacular escape from the hustle and bustle of the city while providing a gorgeous location for a large guest list!

Villa Catalana

Villa Catalana provides the romance and feel of the French countryside but is located conveniently in Oregon. With endless rows of beautiful grape-vines, a dreamy and romantic lake, this location has it all.

Domino IV

Domino IV is almost like a blank slate. Their giant barn is an incredible location for a fun reception. Dress it up as much or as little as you would like and enjoy the countryside feel! My favorite part? They absolutely encourage you to have a GOOD time. As long as the wine is flowing the dance floor is always packed. You and your wedding guests are guaranteed to have a fantastic time celebrating your big day here!

Best Wedding Venues Out in Nature & The Mountains

Last but certainly not least, we have some locations out in nature and in the mountains that I absolutely adore. For some couples, the traditional wedding venue route isn’t the way to go, so I’ve narrowed down the long list of locations I love to just a few of my top favorites. Ski Bowl, The Welches A-Frame - Salmon River, The Woodlands House, and Horning's Hideout.

Ski Bowl

Located in the beautiful Mount Hood National Forest we have the infamous Ski Bowl. There is a beautiful little ski hut that could either be the perfect location for an elopement or a great place for bridal portraits. This location is intimate and beautiful, no matter what direction you go the views are bound to be stunning!

The Welches A-Frame -  Salmon River

Have you ever considered an AirBnB wedding? Well, consider it an option on the list because The Welches A-Frame is an amazing location for a private elopement in Mount Hood. This Air BnB is incredibly adorable and named after it’s classic A-shape. Whether you want to get married in the winter, spring, summer, or fall this location will no doubt be beautiful place to celebrate your love.

The Woodlands House

The Woodlands House is another AirBnB out here that sports gorgeous floor-to-ceiling windows and allows amazing looks into the great outdoors and natural beauty of Oregon. The entire location is yours and you’ll feel like royalty surrounded by pine trees and beautiful outdoor decks. Not only is this location beautiful but it’s just 30 minutes from Mount Hood, making it ne of the best Oregon wedding venues!

Horning’s Hideout

Consider this your best of both worlds if you can’t decide between an adventurous outdoor wedding or a fun venue reception location. Horning’s Hideout provides all the basics you need to have the perfect wedding day. Their space offers camping locations, fun water sports, a wooded or lakeside location and so much more.
