Lauren and Kyle’s Cliffside Elopement at Rowena’s Crest

Oh my gosh, Lauren and Kyle!!! Let’s get into it… hopefully, I can reflect how amazing their excitement for their elopement day was through words and photos. These two love birds flew all the way from North Carolina just to elope and explore Oregon! Of course, their main goal for coming all the way out here was to get married, but they were also just looking forward to enjoying their time together in the PNW! Their cliff-side elopement was incredibly special for a boatload of reasons but as far as what stood out the most?! They didn’t tell ANYONE they were getting married so they were 1. Excited to be getting married and 2. Soooo thrilled to see their friends and family’s reactions when they told them the big news!

While their wedding day was a secret they still made sure to plan out each part of their day perfectly.

Lauren’s bouquet even matched the lavender fields we ventured out to after their ceremony… but we’ll get to that in a little bit! Lauren and Kyle both looked incredibly comfortable and absolutely gorgeous dressed up in their wedding attire. Lauren’s sweet lace dress had capped sleeves and a slit right on the side of the dress. It was casual but romantic and perfect for their cliff-side elopement! Kyle’s suit was a nice shade of navy and it blended beautifully with the vibe of their wedding day, which turned out to be quite purple!

As I mentioned, Lauren and Kyle took some time to really put thought into their elopement and make the day exactly what they wanted. Because it was just the two of them they hired Officiant Jimmie who is AMAZING and crafted such a meaningful and personal ceremony for the two of them. Because this was the first time Lauren and Kyle were coming out to Oregon they didn’t yet have a location in mind for their ceremony. After chatting about their vision we decided that they definitely wanted to elope at Rowena Crest but we didn’t have a clear vision of where! When we got there it was like the perfect location fell right into our laps, we didn’t have to go far at all! Right at the cliff’s edge Lauren and Kyle said their vows and got married. The setting was perfect, we had gorgeous views of Rowena Crest behind us, wide-open land, and it felt so incredibly intimate and beautiful.

After the ceremony, we headed over to Lavender Valley Farms for a fun little picnic and photo session.

Pro Tip: be prepared to pay to take photos here if you’re wanting a golden hour or sunrise photo sesh, but let me tell you... it is WORTH it! This female-owned farm is an absolutely gorgeous location for photos, which is why we spent so much time running through the rows of lavender. The farm also provided the perfect picnic spot for Lauren and Kyle to have a quick bite to eat underneath the best mountain view, it all is just so whimsical!

Following our amazing time at Lavender Valley Farms, Lauren and Kyle headed back to their hotel, the iconic Hood River Hotel, where they had a private chef make them an incredible dinner… also, talk about a great option for any couples with food allergies or just a special addition to your elopement!

Lauren and Kyle’s cliff-side elopement was so special and I am beyond happy I had the opportunity to capture such a beautiful time in their lives! From the hilarious jokes that Jimmie incorporated into their ceremony (and those Taylor Swift references!!) to the mini first look we held at their hotel this elopement was perfectly planned out and was the happiest day.
