Welcome to Oregon, where there is a solid chance it’s going to rain on your engagement session. The great news is that it usually is a misty kind of rain—not the huge torrential downpours I grew up with on the east coast. So what do we do? The good news is I’ve got at least 12 of these clear bubble umbrellas in my Kia, Molly Wheelsley, at all times. I got you. We’ll snuggle under the umbrella and stay dry as long as possible, and then when the time feels right we’ll toss them aside (literally) and embrace the rain.

Taylor and Rob are so rad. We laughed so hard the whole session that my face and stomach hurt when we were hiking back up to the road. While we dreamed of a golden evening, we LOVED our rainy adventure. Despite the cold, despite the rain, these two glowed and their love was so joyful and apparent and active and sweet. By the end we were running in the ocean kicking waves and sea spray at each other, and I laughed so hard I fell down in the sand. I’m so grateful that my job allows me to meet wonderful people like Taylor and Rob, and I can’t wait to see where life takes them next!!
