Coastal Cape Cod Engagement Session | Boston Wedding Photographer

Rachel and Ryan are getting married at a WHALING MUSEUM next year which might possibly be the coolest thing ever, and very fitting for this Cape Cod couple. Yes, that is correct…a Whaling Museum. So before the chilly fall weather set in, we wanted to run around on one of their favorite New Bedford beaches (open only to residents — and their photographers) for their Cape Cod engagement session. We met at Buzzards Bay Brewing which is totally worth a visit if you’re in the area. We jumped into Rachel and Ryan’s car to head to the beach (because you need that coveted resident sticker) and I was blown away when we arrived. Part of the beach had the foundations of a worn away mansion that was destroyed by a storm a century earlier, the other part had giant rocks for us to climb. Girlfriend is always up for a climb for a good photo even if said girlfriend forgets to wear the correct shoes.

At the end of our time together we decided to jump in the water for some additional photos. If my clients are getting in the waterI am right in there with them— jeans and dress and all.

Rachel and Ryan thank you for sharing your special private beach with me, and THANK YOU for getting in the water — Ryan, I love that you said this is the closest you’ve felt to being a kid again — you melted my heart! That’s exactly what I aim for when doing engagement sessions. They should be a time to let all your walls down, run, be wild, be goofy, and just let loose and have a blast with the love of your life. You guys are the real deal and I can’t wait for your wedding next year with the Whales!
