Stephanie and Nathan have a natural ease around one another. It’s amazing considering their entire relationship has developed and grown during a pandemic that kept us all apart. Quite the accomplishment if you ask me!

When Stephanie reached out about their couple’s session at Rowena Crest, she said she wanted to freeze this moment in time, their first year together, just the two of them.

I can’t get enough of that! As a photographer, I am so incredibly lucky to capture perfect moments in time that can be cherished forever. Stephanie and Nathan, you are my kind of people!

One of their early dates as a couple was at Rowena Crest Viewpoint, the day was crazy windy and a comical memory for the two of them (extreme winds happen quite a bit up there, so be prepared just in case!). We decided to revisit that spot for their couples session at Rowena’s Crest, but had a perfect spring day with a spectacular sunset. My favorite moment was when I said to “go frolicking” and Nathan instantly grabbed Stephanie’s hand and they literally skipped off into the sunset. To top it off, a bunch of wildflowers had bloomed at Rowena, and Nathan picked a flower to give to Stephanie. She wore it in her hair behind her ear, and it was like a scene straight from a romantic movie!

These two had SO much energy! They were silly and joked a ton which is totally my vibe--photos don’t have to be serious, and I think it’s way better when they’re not!

It’s so much fun to be loose and goof around with your person. Through all the smiles and laughter, Stephanie and Nathan managed to be as sweet and sentimental as can be! We incorporated a visit to Nathan’s family orchards in Hood River to shoot between the barns and take in the landscape. If their first year is any sign, I’d say Stephanie and Nathan have all the makings of a love that will last a lifetime, starting off with this one perfect year, frozen in time.
