Couples Session on Cannon Beach | Mariana + Will
Mariana and Will, you two are like vintage love song on a crackling record player and I can’t get enough of you!! Mariana and Will are from my hometown of Boston, and I always love playing tour guide, especially when it’s for fellow photographers on a road trip of the Pacific Northwest! They fell in love with Oregon quickly, much like their very own love story, and wanted a couple’s session on Cannon Beach to capture it. These are my kind of people and I’m forever grateful to have met them!
We met at Cannon Beach on a super windy day which ended up being the perfect kind of day for their couples session. They feel like they walked out of another era with such an amazing vintage style and love for music. Like a modern day Johnny and June. We ran barefoot through the cold Pacific Ocean water and just let the night take hold. I’m obsessed with the grainy emotion-filled images we created – something timeless and mysterious that tells a story of where they were for that brief moment.
Marianna met Will while visiting her family in Brazil, where they are both from. Literally on her last night of being home, they locked eyes in a bar and it was love at first sight. They did long distance for a year before Will moved to the United States and the rest is history! I could watch a movie about these two over and over again. Six years later here they are, meeting me in Oregon, and having s’mores on the beach for the very first time! Did everyone know that s’mores aren’t a thing in Brazil?! Apparently, they roast cheese over open fires and that will forever be on my bucket list now!
