Ciara and Kyle’s backyard wedding in Washington packed all the romance! Their entire day focused on what mattered most – their love and the love of their family and friends. Ciara and Kyle had always planned a backyard bash, but when plans changed, they scaled it back to their immediate family with the most gorgeous intimate dinner party in Ciara’s parent’s backyard. Nearly everything was made, thrifted, cooked, and baked by Ciara’s mom and aunts. It was so incredibly personal, heartfelt and unbelievably beautiful! Don’t mind me still swooning over here!

When Ciara and Kyle initially reached out they said they were drawn to how natural my images felt, not forced.

I LOVE THAT! And I really loved the attention to detail and love they poured into their own day that was so naturally stunning! They truly wove pieces of themselves throughout the day, from working with the minister to have some unique readings and stories about their relationship incorporated into the ceremony to Ciara’s cousins playing the string music. A friend painted their save the dates with cute portraits of them and her mom even saved petals for a YEAR for their petal toss. Their day was the epitome of a labor of love and it was incredible to witness.

One of my favorite memories from their day was when Ciara and Kyle read their vows privately in the woods before the ceremony.

It was such a sweet moment full of so many emotions--laughs and tears! Their sweet ceremony flanked by beautiful stones was equally as heartfelt and naturally breathtaking. When a couple describes each other as their “safe space” you know you’re witnessing something special, something magical. Their day was nothing short of charming and I know the road ahead will certainly be filled with love!
