Savannah and Liz’s Romantic Garden Party Inspired Wedding at Bridal Veil Lakes
Liz and Savannah’s wedding at Bridal Veil Lakes was the dreamiest celebration of early summer in the Pacific Northwest. The venue itself feels like something out of a fairytale—lush greenery surrounding the lake, winding forest paths, and wildflowers blooming everywhere you look. In June, it’s truly at its peak, and their wedding day was wrapped in all that natural magic.
One of the standout details was the florals. Old Frond, who traveled all the way from Alabama to design for the day, created arrangements that felt like they had been gathered straight from the meadow. My favorite touch was the addition of blueberries on their stems—an unexpected and charming detail that perfectly tied into the seasonal, garden-inspired aesthetic.
Savannah looked stunning in her gown paired with a Spanish-style veil, a trend I’ve been seeing more and more and absolutely love. The veil’s dramatic yet romantic drape caught the light beautifully against the backdrop of towering trees. Liz and Savannah chose a palette of soft blues to complement the greens of the venue, creating a serene and cohesive feel that echoed the natural landscape.
Adding to the personal touches, a dear friend of theirs baked their wedding cake—a simple but heartfelt detail that made the day feel all the more intimate and special.
Some of my favorite film frames from this wedding:
To capture their day, I documented everything using a mix of 35mm film, 120mm medium format, and Polaroids alongside digital. Each format brought its own magic—the grainy nostalgia of 35mm, the creamy depth and richness of 120mm, and the instant, playful charm of Polaroids. Together, they told a layered story of the day that felt timeless, textural, and true to Liz and Savannah’s vibrant love.
From start to finish, Liz and Savannah’s wedding was filled with love, beauty, and thoughtful details. Bridal Veil Lakes was the perfect setting for their celebration, and every choice they made—from the florals to the veil to the cake—reflected their personalities and story in the most beautiful way.
