Ginger and Justice’s Dreamy Early Spring Engagement Session at Neskowin Beach

When talking to Ginger and Justice about where to take their engagement photos, a friend suggested Neskowin Beach to them and I’m so glad they did! Neskowin Beach is a classic PNW beach with a rugged coastline and majestic sea stacks. Here we got to frolic in the salt-kissed air and soft sand on an unusually warm day in March.

As the sun dipped low on the horizon, golden rays shown through the trees casting the dreamiest light all over the beach. The tide was low and the stream was high, so we weren’t able to cross over to the ‘ghost beach’ side, but there was plenty to explore on the main beach.

To make the session more personal, Justice brought two of his guitars with them. Halfway through our session we switched gears and found a driftwood log to sit on so Justice could play them.

To capture the magic of our time together, I shot a blend of digital, film, and polaroid photography. Each medium lends its own unique charm to the story we sought to tell. Digital, for its crisp detail and clarity. Film, for its timeless beauty and soft, dreamy quality. And polaroids, for those instant snapshots of love that will be cherished for a lifetime.

I loved getting to know these two better through both big laughter and quiet moments of reflection. As an Oregon wedding and engagement photographer, I felt so privileged to witness the depth of their connection and to capture it in photographs that will be treasured for generations to come.

So here's to Ginger and Justice, and to the love that brought us all together on this beautiful evening at Neskowin Beach. I can’t wait for your wedding this fall!
