Claire and Matt's Cozy Fall Engagement Session in Oregon City

I had the most amazing time capturing a cozy engagement session this fall for Claire and Matt, and I just had to share all the sweet details with you. We started off inside at their friend's house, which was absolutely gorgeous and gave me all the Nancy Meyers vibes. The natural light streaming in through the windows created the perfect setting for some earthy and emotional shots, and pairing that with neutral colored sweaters, white button ups, and worn in denim really completed the look. We also shared one of my favorite moments to date, sipping Rainiers in the clawfoot bathtub, because not everything has to be so serious.

After that, we headed over to Villa Catalana in Oregon City to continue the session in the lush outdoor gardens and share some wine. Despite the misty fall day, the PNW moody weather added a beautiful element to the photos - it was like something out of a dream. And to top it all off, their sweet dog, Piper, joined us for some pictures as well, making the session even more special.

It's moments like these that remind me why I love what I do. Capturing the raw and timeless emotions of a couple in love at the most exciting moment in their lives is truly a privilege. And being able to document their journey in a documentary style just adds to the artful but real nature of the photos. Fall sessions really do have a special kind of magic to them, especially in locations like Oregon City and the Columbia River Gorge when the leaves are changing and the clouds are so misty. I can't wait to photograph their wedding this summer, but for now, I'll be cherishing the memories from their cozy engagement session. Cheers to love, art, and unforgettable moments captured on film.

Shot on 120mm film, Instax mini polaroids, and digital.
