Scenic Hood River Elopement | Kayla + Mclean

Kayla + Mclean’s Panorama Point elopement radiated joy and pure bliss! They were SO excited to be married that I’m not sure we ever stood still--even in their ceremony they were jumping up and down with excitement. You can literally feel them jumping out of the images with elation lighting up their faces and spirits! I had just met them the month before for my Mount Hood Rainforest Mini Sessions (which turned out to be the same weekend they got engaged!) so I felt like I was along for the entire ride. I loved that they didn’t want to wait to get married, and planned their Hood River elopement right away for a few weeks later! 

Trusting a Hood River County official’s suggestion, they selected Panorama Point in Hood River, without ever having been there. With gorgeous sweeping views of the Hood River Valley, you can see the mountain on a clear day. We had classic Oregon overcast skies and wind, but were rewarded with a giant rainbow at the end. The location has a gorgeous stone rotunda with views on views on views. It was beautiful for sure, but I love that what they cared most about was just getting married. Kayla + Mclean brought along two friends, their officiant from the county, and me - it was truly special and intimate! 

Kayla’s style was amazing! A silk wedding dress, white coat, and doc martens? Hell yes! What a bad ass! Her friend mirrored her look with an emerald green dress and black coat tying the cohesive style together and I LOVED it! Post I do’s, the rain came while we signed the marriage license. We started at the Rotunda until the wind forced us to the parking lot. We celebrated with cupcakes all around – for the sweetest quirky finale - the perfect ending to a perfectly cheerful elopement!
