West River West Sno Park Couples Session | Emily + Chesley

Chesley + Emily are the kind of people who warm you up from the second you meet them, which is perfect because their couple’s session was all things snowy and cold! These two have hearts of gold that radiate kindness and joy. With their ADORABLE pups along for the fun, we headed to White River West Sno Park for their couple’s session where they made the snowy mountains look hot! They hadn’t spent much time around the mountain yet, so this is my favorite recommendation for an easy drive without too much hiking but beautiful views paired with a beautiful drive.

Originally from Colorado, Emily + Chesley photos to capture their time in Portland together and were really hoping for snow. Well, Mother Nature listened and blanketed White River West Sno Park in a pristine coat of snow and even delivered flurries just in time for their session to start! Playing in the snow brought us all back to being kids again. It was so much fun and full of snowball fights and laughing. Planning ahead, they even brought a blanket for sweet cuddle sessions and for a dry place to lay down, which resulted in some of my favorite shots. Blankets are always a good idea! 

The wide open space of White River West Sno Park was perfect for their pups to run and play and gave us lots of options for backdrops. After the snow started melting in our hair, we retreated into the woods for some forest photos and a bit of a break from the elements. The pop of green form the trees against the soft white frosting of snow paired with their tangible chemistry made for some epic Pacific Northwest magic! At the end of our session, we decided to say screw it and just rolled around in the snow, had snowball fights and didn’t care how soaked we got! The result was playful, authentic and every bit as good as Emily + Chesley!
