Kirané and Bryan's Washington Campground Wedding with Socially Distant Picnic Reception + DIY Details

Kirané and Bryan faced a decision all 2020 couples must now make--should they postpone their wedding or still get married? They couldn't wait another year, and planned an entirely new wedding that fit Washington's COVID19 guidelines at the bride's family's campground in a matter of weeks.  But there's no way you'd ever think this was their plan B--they used  DIY details that any bride could put together, and brought pieces from home to elevate the campground and make it feel like a magical fairytale wedding in the woods that any PNW couple would want.

By setting up curtains on background stands and bringing a rug and a full-length mirror from home, they created mid-century modern dressing room in the woods. Tables from Lowe's created the head table for the bride and groom and their parents, while picnic blankets with their own picnic baskets with dinner, wine, and hand sanitizer were spread apart for the small number of guests present to enjoy safely with their household groups.

They used the smaller ceremony to get creative, having the wedding party surround them in the circle with their family members sitting on thrifted chairs. The rug from the getting ready area was brought around as a dance floor for their first dance and parent dances.

For their reception, the couple changed into black sweats (groom) and white sweats (bride) for sunset photos and the campfire.  Biodegradable confetti was used for their entrance, and mess-free streamers were used for their exit to stay campground friendly.  Cakes and individual s'mores kits were devoured for dessert gathered around the campfire.

It was one of the most magical, early summer days i’ve ever had the pleasure to capture and am SO excited to share all of the fun below!!!
