Kelsey and Nick's Golden Mount Spokane Engagement Session | Oregon Wedding Photographer

Kelsey and Nick won one of the sessions I gave away this past fall on Instagram to celebrate my move to the PNW! We actually did their session DURING my cross country road trip, meeting in Mount Spokane State Park in Washington on my second to last day of driving. They accepted my crazy “I just spent the last eight days in a car” look and sense of humor, and we had a blast. We drank whiskey, talked about our dreams, and reminisced on the orchards each of them grew up on. Their love was so palpable, so the glowing golden field was a perfect setting for them. You can plan session locations all you want— but sometimes there’s a field on the side of the road that calls to you and you MUST go to it.

Kelsey and Nick, I can’t tell you still how much it means to me that we were able to document your engagement during my road trip out to Oregon. It really brought my trip full circle, and invigorated my passion and reminded me why I was putting all of this work into moving in the first place. I felt so welcome running around in the sunshine with you two, and was so happy to spend my first day in the Pacific Northwest getting to know you both. So much excitement lies ahead, it’s going to be an amazing year!!
