Corry and Michael’s wedding day was radically different from what we originally planned. Instead of a big wedding in downtown Portland, these two tied the knot in the bride’s parent’s living room and had an intimate dinner and reception on the balcony overlooking the sunset on the Columbia River. Sea of Roses adorned the house with florals that made everything feel like magic—the floating house was glowing all day. The bride’s brother officiated their wedding ceremony, while the family dog dressed in a tux watched on!

We had the best time wandering the docks of the floating houses and soaking in one of the last true summer sunsets. Everyone dined on big italian dinner and the most delicious wedding cake, and a cucumber punch served from the bride’s grandmothers punch bowl and special glasses. The whole day was an ode to family and heritage, from displaying the grandparents wedding albums and simple gold wedding bands, to Corry’s vintage dress (two dresses combined into one) and veil made from one of the dresses fabrics, they honored the generations before them and the generations to come. Now that it happened, I couldn’t imagine their day any other way.
