National Park Woodsy Inspired Wedding | Oregon Wedding Photography

When your woodsy wedding theme is inspired by the national parks and sunset tones, you’ve got a recipe for MAGIC y’all.

You may remember Lisa and Ryan from their camping engagement session last fall. Lisa and Ryan have visited nearly all of the national parks and have a love for the outdoors, it makes sense that the main theme of their woodsy wedding would be National Parks. From their invites and national parks mugs, to their centerpieces being postcards from each park along with pictures of them there, to the trail mix bar and s’mores station during the reception, every part of their day was outdoorsy and fun. They even stamped their national parks book with a custom stamp as part of their ceremony!

On the morning of their wedding, we met at Willowdale Estate, where the guys got dressed and the girls got dressed after their HMU was done offsite. After brainstorming and wanting to give them some variety colors, we captured the first look in the greenhouse room. Afterwards, we wandered the wooded areas before joining the bridal party. Can we just say the bridesmaids slayed in bold mismatched sunset toned dresses. #squadgoals for sure.

Their ceremony was incredibly uniqueβ€”the bride’s twin sister and best friend co-officiated, the included her mother and Lisa could not stop smiling and laughing. After Lisa and Ryan were pronounced husband and wife, everyone was invited to a cocktail hour full of aperol spritzes.

In true unique fashion, Lisa and Ryan kicked off their first dance with a song by the new basement tapes. The best surprise at the end of their reception was when the bridal party ran out in animal onesies, followed by the bride in her own flying squirrel onesieβ€”having mentioned earlier that her spirit animal is a flying squirrel, it made total sense!

Lisa and Ryan, I am blown away by your love and true enjoyment of each other. It was once said, β€œβ€˜Being in love’ first moved them to promise fidelity: this quieter love enables them to keep the promise. It is on this love that the engine of marriage is run: being in love was the explosion that started it.” I have witnessed first hand your quieter love and have no doubt that this will enable both of you to keep the promise you made to each other. Thank you for inviting me to be a part of and celebrate your love!
