Andrea and Danilo’s cozy in home session last week set my heart on fire y’all. We played christmas music, drank coffee, admired their christmas tree, and I even got a private concert as Danilo played guitar and they sang together from their living room floor. We definitely had to take a break for a few minutes because I was crying, but anyone who knows me shouldn’t be surprised, I just have a lot of feelings hahaha.

A lot happens the year you get married, and as you settle down it’s amazing to look back at your engagement photos and remember the excitement and anticipation. Then you look back on your wedding photos and remember the pure joy and celebration of the best day of your life. But after a year of that craziness, it can be just as exciting and joyful to settle into your first home together and wear in the rhythms of your new daily life together, and I think that’s just as important (and FUN) to document.

These two are both worship leaders, so it was amazing to not only photograph their in home session, but because of the time of year, talk about all that Jesus has done for us over the last year, and how much more he will continue to do in the new one. The lows are low, and the highs are high, and having a partner and a community to share those with is the greatest gift in the world.

Andrea and Danilo, thank you so much for sharing your first home and christmas memories with me. And also thank you for letting me come over so early in the morning, even though I think I’m the only morning person in the group!! I will always remember this bright and happy morning spent together, and I’m so excited for you to look back on these pictures during all the christmas seasons to come.
