You might remember Alexa and Nate from their Brooklyn engagement session last fall! We had so much fun wandering around their neighborhood in Brooklyn in November, and I just couldn’t wait for them to tie the knot in their home state of New Hampshire this fall!!! Their vision for their day was a mix of bohemian and modern on the wild and natural Cobb Hill Estate, with lots of handmade elements and all of their family and friends involved contributing everything from singing and playing music, to some of the most creative and interactive toasts I’ve ever seen.

The estate has a glamp ground where I stayed in one of the safari tents (coolest wedding lodging ever!!!) so of course I had to work those into the groom and groomsmen portraits since they were getting ready right across the trail. Alexa got ready inside while it drizzled, with the rain clearing just in time for a bright but overcast ceremony overlooking the valley. I can’t say enough how amazing Alexa and Nate’s families were (and the bride and groom themselves too!) with setting up all of the DIY elements of this wedding. It really was an effort by their whole tribe, and the results were so sweet and personal, not to mention STUNNING.

When Alexa and I talked about the plans for her wedding to Nate, especially to her dress, we kept coming back to Narnia. When renting Cobb Hill Estate, you get 200+ acres of wilderness to yourselves for the weekend, so it really felt like a wild, special world away from reality that was full of love and magic. Thinking back on it just makes me smile. And you can especially see their wild, bohemian vision in Alexa’s MAGICAL Rue De Seine wedding gown that fit her romantic personality to a T.

Their wedding party played the music and sang the lyrics as she walked down the aisle, and the reception was filled with traditional russian vodka toasts, and so much singing, dancing and performing by their talented friends. I loved getting to know this artistic, expressive community that surrounds Alexa and Nate, and am so grateful that they chose me to document their epic, adventurous, woodsy wedding day. All my love to you both as you take on the world together!!!
