Nishant and Quazi Woodsy New England Engagement Session | Boston Wedding Photography

I first met Nishat a few years ago when I was at the very early beginnings of my photo journey­. Nishat is an educator, YouTuber and Instagramer. We’ve worked together on a few different creative projects over the years — most of which included donuts because who doesn’t love donuts. How lucky am I to know this girl and on top of it, photograph her engagement and wedding.

Nishat and Quazi have been together for nearly 10 years (ten. years.), and have the sweetest fur baby named Indigo which we had to include (you have to scroll down to peep Indigo and her flower collar by Alexa Gallishaw Floral Design)!

Nishat and Quazi are experienced campers so when thinking about an engagement session that would be fun and very much them, we wanted something woodsy. Just right north of Boston is the Middlesex Fells which when you enter fells like you are far away from the city but really it is so close.

We had perfect weather for our Middlesex Fells engagement adventure, but forgot one important thing: bug spray. BUG SPRAY IS SO IMPORTANT IN THE SUMMER. There were so many mosquitos, we were all eaten alive. Thankfully Nishant and Quazi were super chill about the bugs and I was able to power on through because anything for a good shot. Although now I carry a sticky note with “DID YOU REMEMBER BUG SPRAY?” in my camera bag­.

In spite of the bugs, we climbed on logs and through ferns, raced through the trees, played with Indigo, and had the time of our lives just enjoying New England summertime at its very best.

Quick photo note: brides often feel uncomfortable about wearing their glasses (glare on the lenses) but as a glasses wearer myself, i freaking love when people wear glasses in their photos­. I want you to be as much yourself in your photos and if that means wearing your glasses, wear your glasses!
