Katie and Nic's In-Home Anniversary Session | Boston Wedding Photographer
I met Katie and Nic about two years ago when we joined the same community group through Reality Boston. Nic's law school had brought them to the east coast, and as newlyweds, I admired their move to a brand new city so much and knew how scary it could be. Boston is known for many things, but its friendliness is not one of them. Lucky for me, Katie is also self-employed and enjoys working in coffeeshops, so it was only a matter of time before we became work buddies and friends.
Since then, I've had the joy of seeing Katie and Nic settle into their new home, kill it in their careers, and travel the world. As far as I'm concerned, they're superheroes. I even spent a week with them in Oregon last summer, getting the grand tour of their beloved hometown. (That's the understatement of a century, but I'll save my tales of Salt and Straw, rock climbing, and lake swimming for another post.) I'm lucky to call them my friends, to walk through life with them, and to see their marriage grow. So y'all can imagine how much it meant to me to capture these sweet, early years of their marriage in their Cambridge home before they move back to Oregon this summer.
Nic and Katie, my hope is that you remember these slow mornings together before everything changes. The smell of freshly ground coffee brewing in the Chemex, the sound of the train as it goes by outside, and the light that shines through the window onto your wedding flowers. Even if this apartment is temporary, you'll have a forever home in Boston as far as I'm concerned. Onto the next adventure!
