Aliza and Kendrick’s Chic Gorge Wedding at Wind Mountain Ranch

At the end of June, Aliza and Kendrick celebrated their wedding at Wind Mountain Ranch, one of the Columbia River Gorge’s most breathtaking venues. The space has recently been reimagined by my longtime favorite, The Griffin House team, who designed a sleek new reception hall with floor-to-ceiling windows and skylights that frame the Gorge views. The result? A perfect balance of modern architecture and Pacific Northwest beauty.

The landscape around the ranch is unforgettable: rolling green hills, a wide golden field for sunset portraits, and sweeping vistas that make every moment feel cinematic. On this hot, sun-soaked day, guests gathered in a space that felt both intimate and expansive, with every detail reflecting the couple’s timeless yet playful style.

Aliza and Kendrick kept their wedding palette chic and minimal—black, white, and a soft green inspired by amaranth blooms and elegant calla lilies. Their tables stretched long across the new reception hall, where dinner was served family style. I loved capturing guests passing dishes, pouring wine, and sharing laughter across the table—it’s one of my favorite ways to photograph reception moments that feel both candid and connected.

We documented their day across digital, 120 and 35mm film, and Polaroids, layering different formats to tell the full story. Film brought out the lush tones of the Gorge, Polaroids added instant keepsakes for their loved ones, and digital captured all the in-between glances and hugs.

As the sun dropped, we slipped away into the golden fields for portraits bathed in soft light, with the Gorge ridgelines glowing in the background. Later, Aliza surprised everyone with an outfit change into a sparkling mirror ball dress that lit up the dance floor, perfectly matching the energy of the night.

It was a wedding full of style, joy, and effortless connection—made all the better by the light, the setting, and the people who gathered to celebrate.
