Mallory and Kevin's Modern and Colorful Greenhouse Wedding at Pomarius Nursery

Modern and Colorful Greenhouse Wedding at Pomarius Nursery

Mallory and Kevin’s wedding day was filled with color, joy, and lots of personal touches and details that made the whole day feel personal and unique to them and their guests.

Both the bride and groom were getting ready at the Woodlark hotel, which is one of my favorite local haunts—I love the Good Coffee in the lobby and Abigail Hall is one of my favorite date night spots for fancy cocktails! The Woodlark is also known for it’s aesthetic mix of modern neutrals with pops of color and lots of lush greenery, which set the stage perfectly for this early fall Pomarius Nursery wedding. Since we were going to have garden vibes at the venue, we chose to do their first look right outside the Woodlark on a quiet stretch of sidewalk so we could get a mix of the city in their photos, too. Mallory’s tulle bridal cape was swept up in the wind, and quickly became one of my favorite bridal accessories ever!

We took family formal photos and bridal party photos in the Pomarius Orangerie before the ceremony (which is a great way to incorporate ceremony florals into another part of your wedding) and a few more bride and groom photos, because we knew the sun was going to be setting right after the ceremony and we didn’t want to miss the chance in case anything ran late. Thankfully because of the incredible team at Luxe productions, especially Misty, everything ran smoothly and on time. The best wedding planners and coordinators make it look so easy on the outside, but being a wedding vendor I get to see how hard they work behind the scenes to pull everything off. Misty and her team were on top of everything down to the tiniest details, like handing out flower petal cones and instructing guests on the best way to toss petals at the bride and groom.

Hunt and Gathering catering served a feast gourmet dishes and fresh veggies, and poured some of the most colorful bespoke cocktails I’ve ever seen. Pure Pulse Entertainment got the party started kept it going long after I left, but I think my favorite moment was when Kevin surprised Mallory with a custom neon sign from Mariglow signs! It was wheeled out during their first dance, and made the perfect backdrop for their After the Tone audio guestbook.
