Lush and Romantic Villa Catalana Cellars Wedding | Kalie + Nick

Epic doesn’t even begin to describe Kalie and Nick’s unbelievably beautiful day! In true Covid fashion, they postponed their original July 2020 wedding to July of 2021 but when the holidays came around, they decided to just go for it and planned a January micro wedding. With only 7 family members in attendance, their heart filled Villa Catalana Cellars wedding was bursting with love and was truly a DREAM!

I was lucky enough to really get to know Kalie and Nick leading up to their wedding where it all started with one of my favorite engagement sessions at my very favorite Mount Hood Airbnb, The Welches A-Frame. It was awesome getting to really know them as a couple. They are super fun, adventurous and spontaneous. They even learned to sail together, have traveled to countless countries, and have the greatest stories to tell. Truly amazing humans with a big day to match!

Villa Catalana Cellars was so warm and cozy, you would never know it was the Pacific Northwest winter outside. With a courtyard as lush as the tropics, the most beautiful lanterns suspended above, and rugs lining the aisle – it was simply incredible. The room and everyone in it just glowed! They brought along a DREAM team of vendors including their planner, which I highly recommend having, and an amazing florist that really elevated the event. They pulled together a total showstopper! From lush romantic floral design to taper candles and silky linens, it was stunning!

As beautiful as it was, the emotion was so much more! Kalie was brought to tears when she first saw the space, and even though it wasn’t what she had originally planned, it was just as magical and even more beautiful than she could have ever imagined. At the ceremony everyone was brought to tears by Kalie’s brother’s reading as Nick’s sister officiated and allowed us all time to dab tears from our eyes. His sister even organized a video of family that couldn’t attend which brought all the Covid wedding vibes but in the very best way. Kalie and Nick weathered the pandemic storm that was wedding planning in 2020 but they truly came out on top!
