I am so lucky that I got to kick off my 2020 wedding season with Matt and Monica at the Evergreen in January!! Winter weddings have such a special place in my heart. It’s a slower time of a year, and a colder time of year calling us all inside to be close to each other. The warm glow of their gold table settings against the black linens totally called this feeling to mind with lots of candlelight and fresh eucalyptus. They both got ready at the Kimpton Vintage downtown, with Monica getting dressed at the Evergreen. In typical Portland fashion it drizzles on and off all day, but we had just enough time for pictures outside before and after the ceremony! The ceremony felt bright and warm inside the Evergreen despite the rain, and all eyes were on Monica and Matt and the gorgeous Hexagon ceremony arch that her grandfather made. It was a night of dancing and laughs and a 10pm Taco Bell delivery that no one will forget.
