Sierra And Andrew's Charles River Engagement Session | Boston Wedding Photographer
When I think of Sierra and Andrew, I think, "We found love in a hopeless place." Not because Boston is a hopeless place (although many would describe the winter that way) but because that's what their friend wrote in icing on a cake for their engagement party. And any couple that has Rihanna lyrics on a cake is a couple I can get behind. We met at Tatte (my second home) for coffee on a Friday afternoon before setting out for photos, and immediately I knew we were going to have a good time. While we were pushing our luck against a rainy forecast, we made it through with only a few drops.
I joke with all my couples that engagement sessions are less like photoshoots, and more like I'm third-wheeling on their date. And while that may be true at first, by the end it's more like I'm their good friend who happens to have a camera. This was the case with Sierra and Andrew, who are two people I'd be friends with in "real life" if we had met in any other circumstance. That is the best part of my job-- meeting all these wonderful people that I wouldn't have met otherwise. By the end of this session we were all laughing until our stomachs hurt, and until my laughs had turned to snorts. These two had lived right across the river from me for years, and I'm so glad we finally met.
Sierra and Andrew, I loved watching the way you make each other laugh. I loved how you welcomed me into your home, into this special moment in your lives. I can't wait for your wedding next summer in New Hampshire, but until then, here's to the Bruins, craft brews at Tip Tap, and our little corner of the world.
xo,
Mads
