In July, I had the pleasure of capturing Sydney and Alec’s rehearsal dinner at a beautiful family friend's house in Lake Oswego, Oregon a few night's before their wedding at the Noble Ridge Tree Deck. The evening was set against the backdrop of the serene lake, with long dinner tables arranged right by the water. It was the perfect spot for a relaxed yet elegant summer celebration.

The dinner itself was an absolute hit—tacos were on the menu, giving the evening a fun, casual vibe while still feeling elevated. The tables were styled to perfection with fresh green accents, delicate hydrangeas, and bright lemons scattered across the centerpieces, creating the perfect summer aesthetic.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a proper rehearsal dinner without heartfelt speeches! Family and friends took turns sharing stories, making everyone laugh and tear up in equal measure. You could really feel the love and excitement in the air as Sydney and Alec’s closest ones wished them well before the big day.

This special evening was captured on 35mm and 120mm film, bringing that dreamy, timeless feel to each moment. There’s just something about film that really enhances the beauty of those candid, authentic moments, and this evening was no exception.
