Remember Kelly and James’s intimate library wedding that I photographed in October of last year? That’s where I met Abby and Pat!! James had mentioned that his brother lived in Bend, OR and since I’m relocating to the PNW next year, I HAD to meet him and his girlfriend (now fiance!!) Abby. They got engaged recently, so I reached out to pitch them the idea of modeling for a Smith Rock elopement inspiration to highlight local Bend wedding vendors. They were instantly in and planning began!

Abby’s hair was done by Amy of Amy Fox Hair Design and her makeup by Makeup By Lex. Curated Event Rentals in Bend lent us the bar cart, glasses and rug while Britney of Hey You Flowers and I set up the florals and bar cart. And can we talk about the fairy tale that came to life of a cake Foxtail Bakeshop?!

The day started off with sunshine and grew into the signature PNW overcast, although thankfully all the while avoiding rain. So we got to drink champagne, practice their vows, and literally frolic around the high desert. It was everything and more.

I thought I was excited to make my move across the country but man, am I even more excited to make my move out here and get to know more local Oregon wedding vendors y’all!

Pat and Abby, you totally nailed your “practice wedding” and I can’t wait to see you tie the knot for real soon!
