Angela and Argenis's Cozy Brunch Wedding with Greenhouse Portraits and DIY Details | Oregon Wedding Photographer
I met Angela and Argenis last year for their woodsy fall engagement session. at Middlesex Fells They were even willing to get up at sunrise so we had the golden woods completely to ourselves to run around, take pics, and get to know each other. These two are anything but traditional. They are spontaneous and fun and artististic and SO in love, and I was so dang excited from day one for their brunch wedding plans!!
After trying the knot legally last spring at city hall, they hosted a brunch reception in the fall at Oleana for their family and friends. Having a totally separate reception has a couple of perks, one of them being that you can get ready at home with your person! I loved walking into their apartment that morning, which was so relaxed and fun, to take detail and getting ready photos with them. I’m also now OBSESSED with their super cute apartment—from the big round mirrors to the blue green statement wall in their bedroom. I am definitely taking all of my decorating cues from Angela now!
(Also make sure you scroll to the bottom of this post for an amazing selfie I took of the three of us that morning!)
Regardless of weather, we planned to go to Niche to take their bride and groom portraits. Angela and I share a major love for houseplants and all greenthumb activities, and this plant shop is in their neighborhood and super close to their venue too! We lucked out that it wasn’t crowded Saturday morning, and since that day turned out chilly anyways, it really was the perfect spot for their portraits. The rest of the day was filled with some of the most delicious food I’ve ever eaten as they got to hang out and celebrate with their 40 guests.
Nothing about their day was traditional and it was SO personal to them. It meant that they got to spend quality time with each and every guest, Angela made the signs and stitched the table numbers, and Jo from Twig and Briar elevated everything else with her stunning florals. It was the perfect combination of relaxing and exciting, and I’m so grateful I got to be their to document it all for these two lovers.
