Bethany, David and I froze our butts off back in April for their beach Cape Code engagement session so I was pretty dang excited to be photographing their wedding at The Aldrich Mansion when it was warmer with an overcast day (i.e. perfect light) but not overly hot. The Aldrich Mansion is full of different intricate rooms with delicate mirrors, floral sand so many colors to play with. Hands down, my favorite room was actually the bathroom which had an old club foot tub and Magnolia approved tile. Anyone else love to check out the bathrooms? Says so much about the place.

David got ready in the library with all the beauty and all the vibes. We decided to take their first look on a staircase, with Bethany coming up the stairs and David coming down, meeting in the middle in front of a huge window. This was my favorite first look of the season — seeing two loves meeting half way and then joining together as one….and also that amazing window light, come on! And seriously Bethany bold hair maroon flower and flowy dress with the lace detailing were the bomb! After first looks, we all met within the chapel for their ceremony with their cocktail hour on the front steps of the lawn.

While their guests started the cocktail hour, we went down to take portraits down by the water. We joined back on the front steps for cocktail hour with speeches and first dances full of Gatsby inspired wedding vibes. Everyone moved inside where dinner was served throughout different rooms, all decked out with the most gorgeous dark and moody florals. Bethany changed into a second dress right before the dancing kicked off in the welcome hall.

Bethany and David, I was so impressed with how important family and faith is to you and how that was integrated into your wedding. Often weddings have large bridal parties and I loved seeing that you both chose to have a smaller bridal party and opt to ask your closest two friends to be the maid of honor and best man. So many family members were deeply invested in in you guys and celebrating with you. You truly have a network of support and love and it was an honor to document this special step for you.
