Y'all may remember Annie and Phuong from their adventurous Joshua Tree engagement session in April. and their industrial distillery wedding at Short Path Distillery was no less epic. One of my favorite things about photographing intimate weddings is how personal they are to each couple. No tradition is kept for the sake of tradition alone, but instead couples craft a celebration each uniquely their own. Annie and Phuong officially tied the knot at City Hall the day before, and chose to focus on this summer night distillery party with a more traditional ceremony with their families next month. 

The bride arranged the flowers herself, and decorated the distillery with DIY projects so they could focus on what really mattered: Good food, good drinks, and lots of dancing. Mayflour Sweets provided the cake, and because she wasn't already talented enough, also did the bride's hair and makeup. Bone Town Burgers cooked up plenty of burgers, fries, and dogs, and Donuts With A Difference made enough donuts to build a pyramid. And of course Short Path had custom cocktails covered with their own selection of gins and rum. And then we danced the whole night away.

Annie and Phuong, I had an absolute blast with you two. After getting to know you and your friends in Joshua Tree (of ALL places, seriously still doesn't seem real!) I felt like just another guest at your party. And, damn, what a great party it was. You told me you were awkward, but all I saw was two people who love each other having the time of their lives with all of their friends-- and there's nothing more beautiful than that. Also, thank you for letting me throw piles of confetti at you in an alley, in my humble opinion it was 100% worth it. Let's do it all again sometime?
