Suzanne and Scott's Industrial Stationary Factory Wedding | Berkshires Wedding Photographer | Madeline Rose Photography Co.

I met Suzanne and Scott at my first wedding of the year, Rachel and Sean, where Suzanne was a bridesmaid and I still can’t believe that they became my last wedding of the year, talk about bringing 2018 full circle. For their engagement session, we met at their home in Massachusetts with their dog, enjoying the summer air and strolling around their few acres also know as their backyard. Suzanne is an artist so I was also able to see her painting studio on their property in person, which was nothing short of magical.

Being the artist she is, she painted the ceremony backdrop for their wedding which became the basis for the whole event design, from little details like the invitation suite, to the bridesmaids dresses, to even the cake.

Their wedding was at The Stationary Factory, a newer venue in Dalton, MA, and not surprisingly per the name, it is actually a refurbished former stationary factory. It is a massive venue that hosts a few additional artist studios and businesses, but is mostly a Berkshires' event space. Between the ceremony room with the painted, worn brick, the large cocktail reception room with concrete floors and big windows, to the reception hall large enough to fit a stage AND several hundred guests, it has a little bit of everything.

Suzanne and Scott got ready at a hotel nearby before we did all detail and getting ready shots at the venue since it’s such a perfect venue. With multiple rooms, their ceremony in one of the rooms, cocktail hour in another, while we took advantage of the brick walls and industrial windows to capture their wedding portraits.

I have never ever experienced this but please can we do this again, after making their reception entrances their sons joined them for a German log cutting ceremony. With the large hall and live band, the reception felt like a rock concert.

Suzanne and Scott, I am blown away that I was able to start and end my year with you both. Seeing your families come together to celebrate your love was beautiful. Thank you for inviting me in and allowing me to celebrate with you!
