Kelly And James's Cozy And Intimate Library Wedding | Boston Wedding Photographer | Madeline Rose Photography Co.
Kelly and James got engaged in June and knew they wanted to get married as soon as possible so Kelly being an organizational wizard, planned an elegant, intimate, fall wedding in less than three months y’all! Three months. I thought it was lucky when she called me, because September 29th was the last date I had available in the fall. After we got off the phone I knew it wasn’t luck, it was fate. Being able to serve Kelly and James’s families in this special way was one of my highlights of this year. Even with just 3 months till their wedding day, we still found time for the perfect New England summer engagement session and went bike riding together at World’s End during July.
And in no time, September had come and I was pulling up to Kelly’s parents’ house where everyone was getting ready. One of the advantages of getting ready at home is having control of your surroundings, like have your dogs around. From there I departed to go to the private property where Kelly and James would tie the knot in a cozy library, and it did not disappoint. For all my Gilmore Girls and Harry Potter fans, the property had major Chilton vibes combined with a little bit of Hogwarts. One of my favorite parts about the ceremony was that I could slip outside and shoot through the open windows, a vantage point that I had never gotten to use before. After being showered with confetti, Kelly, James and I got to wander the property and soak up the first few moments as husband and wife. #professionalthirdwheel
After the library ceremony, cocktail hour was held out on the lawn, followed by the coziest candle lit dinner back inside while dancing was outside under the stars with twinkle lights. Then to wrap it all up, the bride and groom were sent off with an epic sparkler walk to the getaway car. The perfect mix of an outdoor and indoor wedding.
Kelly and James, it was an honor to experience this day alongside you and your families. Every aspect of the day was so thoughtfully planned, and it was magical to see you two enjoy it all with the most important people in your life beside you. Your glow was palpable, and I hope you feel exactly how you feel today when you look back at these photos in 10, 20, 50 years. Thank you for inviting me to document it all!
